Launch Checklist

This checklist takes you from planning your integration through to going live, organized into seven milestones so you always know what comes next. Launchpay is flexible (how you process transactions, onboard merchants, and manage accounts is up to you), so some steps will apply to your build and others won't.

Our Solutions team helps you define your path up front and support you through each stage that follows.

1 | Plan your integration

Work with our team to define how you'll use the platform. Everything that follows depends on these four choices.

2 | Prepare your environment

  • Receive your sandbox credentials and browse our API documentation
  • Confirm access to your sandbox environment and endpoints
  • Receive your custom field mapping for application testing

3 | Build your integration

Depending on your integration path, you will complete the following:

  • Configure your merchant application experience (either in the UI or via API)
  • Subscribe to boarding and application webhooks (if needed)
  • Integrate to the transaction types (card-not-present, card-present, ACH, device integration) you need
  • Connect to any Backoffice API endpoints that support your workflow

4 | Test your integration

Test thoroughly in the sandbox. Aim for a solution you'd be comfortable handing to a customer today. Here’s a checklist for testing:

[ ] You've coded to the API for every product you plan to use

[ ] You've run each transaction or workflow successfully, end to end

[ ] Your error-message handling is in place and tested

[ ] You've tested edge cases and confirmed your solution handles them gracefully (for example, a refund larger than the original transaction)

5 | Certify

Certification is the checkpoint where you confirm your integration is production-ready. You'll demo what you built, and our team will validate that everything you've done to interact with the platform via API was implemented correctly. Certification happens after testing and before production validation, so any issues are caught before you run live transactions.

On the call. You'll walk through your implementation while the team reviews it. If you integrated to more than one system, you'll cover all of them in this single session. Be ready to demo each part that applies to you.

As you walk through your build, the team shares best-practice recommendations to improve your results. For example, flagging if you're not passing AVS data on transactions, which supports better interchange. When the team approves your certification, you are ready to move to production validation.

6 | Validate in production

A final check using a live test account under your program, confirming the full lifecycle works in production. Here’s a checklist for validating your build in the production environment:

[ ] Receive your production credentials and configuration

[ ] Submit a real, live application and run live transactions

[ ] Confirm transactions and deposits appear in Backoffice, and that funding reaches the bank account

[ ] Confirm validation results with our team

7 | Launch

Go live and begin onboarding your merchants!
